Visit to Paignton Zoo

Yesterday Kingswear Primary School visited Paignton Zoo – a much anticipated trip for everyone!
The weather was lovely and sunny and the animals were enjoying themselves. We were treated to a talk from a keeper about giraffes, who showed us how long a giraffe tongue actually was – it is enormous!
Other highlights included a close up conversation with a crocodile and an ice cream by the Baboon Rock.
The trip will help us with our English and Maths tasks this week, as we have been learning about zoos and their role in animal welfare and wildlife conservation.
