Teign School Students Present Their Aspirations
At the end of the autumn term, a small group of students from Year 9 took part in the ‘Articulacy’ project organised by ‘Next Steps South West’. This course aimed to develop confidence in public speaking whilst investigating potential career paths. The students worked really hard over the week finding out the pros and cons of a variety of jobs. They then knitted their findings into short presentations which were delivered to their peers as well as VIP guests from inside and outside of Teign School.
Course lead facilitator, Darren was very impressed with Teign’s young people. “This is the best group of students we have ever had the pleasure of working with”, he said. The panel also commented on the quality and professionalism of the presentations (both content and delivery).
Everyone on the course successfully delivered a professional presentation and answered some very difficult questions from the panel at the end. They all passed the course and were presented with a certificate marking this achievement.
