Teaching Assistant – Blackawton Primary School
30 hours per week & 38 weeks per year
Salary Grade C4: £18933 per year pro rata
Fixed term contract, in the first instance, starting as soon as possible to 31st August 2022
We are looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join our team at Blackawton Primary School. We are looking for someone passionate about working with children, flexible, patient, hard-working and committed to maximising learning opportunities for our pupils. This will be a varied role working across the school with children in KS1 and KS2. Within the role there will also be the opportunity to work closely with children and their families.
We are a ‘Read Write Inc.’ school, therefore someone with experience of training in ‘Read write Inc.’ would be advantageous, however ongoing training in the teaching of phonics will be provided
We are looking for someone who can inspire children and colleagues and who is willing to ‘go the extra mile’.

Previous experience is an advantage.
You will need to be energetic, supportive and a positive team player with a sense of humour and excellent communication skills with some knowledge of SEN. ICT skills are essential and the flexibility to attend twilight training sessions on occasion. An interest or skills in working with parents and families. A willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school will be important.
This post is fixed term due to a temporary increase in workload.
