Message from the Blackawton Primary Forest School Ambassador
Hi from your Forest School Ambassadors.
We would like to tell you about a project we are working on to help protect the White Spot Moth. The White Spot Moth is endangered in these parts and the larvae feed on only one plant called Nottingham Catchfly. This plant is no longer common in this area, so we are working with The Local Habitat Group to plant more Nottingham Catchfly plants to help save the White Spot Moth from extinction. We will be planting Nottingham Catchfly seeds at Forest School in Spring, watching them grow and then planting them around the school and in our gardens. If you would like to help encourage this species to Devon, please buy some seeds and plant them. Hopefully, by working together, we can save the White Spot Moth from extinction. Thank you.
From the Forest School Ambassadors.
