Blackawton Primary’s Forest School Activities
In Forest School last week, the Blackawton Primary School’s children learnt about the culture and traditions of The Dogon People of Mali, West Africa – who are well known for their art, buildings and music.
Some of the activities included creating mud huts to resemble a Dogon village, using threading skills to create star constellations on card, writing and drawing stories, and exploring musical instruments. The children also enjoyed checking their footprint tunnel for animal tracks and were very excited to discover ‘possible’ hedgehog prints!
